The Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Community Security, Mr Ken Emeakayi, who led men of Operation Udo Ga-Achi to demolish a building used as hide out for kidnappers and criminal activities at Ndieze Nwankwo village, Uruagu Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area, has explained that the demolition was in line with the Anambra State Homeland Security Laws, adding that the community leaders testified that kidnap victims were rescued from the building.
While the Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Mr Echezona Anazodo, warned criminals to stay away from the area and better embrace the “One Youth Two Skills” initiative of Governor Soludo to become useful to the society, the Majority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Ikenna Ofodeme, lauded the Governor for his prompt action, and called on Ndi Anambra to join the fight against criminality by providing security information to security agents in order to make the state safer for all.
Earlier, the President General of Ndieze Nwankwo community, Mr Nonso Nwosu, confirmed that the demolished bungalow belonged to a notorious kidnapper, Mr Kenechukwu Ifedigbo, whom he said has been terrorizing the community.
