The Traditional ruler of Ihite in Orumba South Local Government Area, Igwe Timothy Ifurunwa, has enjoined mischievous indigenes of the town to desist from opposing Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s peaceful efforts in the community, especially his recent issuance of certificate of recognition and staff of office to him as traditional ruler, but rather join hands with other reasonable indigenes in moving the community forward.
In a press statement in his palace in Ihite, Igwe Ifurunwa described as baseless and misleading the media report orchestrated by one Mr Dominic Ahamkonye and three others who falsely parade themselves as kingmakers in the community attempting to discredit the legitimate process that led to his emergence as the traditional ruler, and called on the public to disregard the report, warning the four troublesome indigenes to stop drawing the community backwards or face the full consequences of challenging constituted authority and government institution. Igwe Ifurunwa assured that he will continue to work harmoniously with Governor Soludo to foster peace, unity and sustainable development in Ihite community.
