Investing in human capital is the foundation of a thriving healthcare system, and Nigeria is taking bold steps to groom a new generation of health sector leaders.

The Federal Government has officially commenced training for successful applicants of the National Health Fellows Programme, a one-year initiative aimed at driving innovation and meaningful change in the sector.

Addressing the selected fellows, who represent all seven hundred and seventy-four local governments across Nigeria, the coordinating minister for Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, described the programme as both a gift and an opportunity from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
