Eziagu community in Orumba South Council Area has launched its own operational unit of Agunechemba security outfit.
Inaugurating them in Eziagu market, the Mayor of Orumba South Local Government Area, Mr Shedrack Azubuike noted that security is the backbone of a thriving society and charged the new security outfit to ensure the safety of everyone in the community and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in their operations.
In their separate speeches, the President General of Eziagu Improvement Union, Barrister Ernest Obi and the Traditional Ruler of the community, Igwe Bernard Emejuo appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for degrading insecurity to the barest minimum in the state.
The event also witnessed the commissioning of over nineteen security gates in strategic parts of the town, presentation of a mini-bus, three motorcycles, pump action guns, new uniforms and the personnel of the new outfit.
