Grief and sorrow filled the air in Uga community, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, as family, friends, schoolmates, and sympathizers gathered to bid a painful farewell to three young siblings whose lives were tragically cut short in an incident that sent shockwaves across the state.
The siblings, two girls and a boy, aged between five and nine years were found lifeless inside a freezer in their home earlier this year, a heartbreaking loss that has left their family and the entire community in deep mourning.
At St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Umueze Uga, where the funeral mass was held, emotions ran high as attendees, dressed in black, wept openly, struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.
Priests, school children, colleagues, and sympathizers sat in somber silence.
The parents of the dead children Mr. and Mrs. Udochukwu Ejezie described the loss of their children as an unimaginable nightmare and the greatest shock of their lives.
They expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the state and government, Nigerian police and the community at large.
