Principals and teachers in secondary schools in Anambra state have been authorized to seize phones from students who come to school with it, as they are a serious distraction.

Queen Anigbogu reports that the Chairman, Post Primary Schools Service Commission, PPSSC, Awka, Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu, stated this during a cultural event held at a public school in Awka.

She spoke highly of Igbo culture as a beautiful identity that should be sustained through continuous indoctrination of the students to the values and norms of Ndigbo.

The PPSSC boss told the gathering that Igbo culture does not end in clothing and dancing but that Igbos are also known for honesty, truthfulness, handwork, respect for elders and much more.
