As part of it’s efforts towards instilling good morals in young people and drastically minimizing social vices in the society, Odimma Orumba North Local Government Area has embarked on its school moral campaign tagged “Catching Them Young And Redirect Them On The Way To Follow”, in primary schools across the council area.

 

Speaking after their visit to Central School Oko, Union School Awgbu, Community Primary School Omogho, and Primary School Ufuma, the Founder of Odimma Orumba North, Mrs Ifeoma Ekwueme, explained that the outing was part of the organization’s commitment to making Orumba North better through character molding, advising young people to say no to social vices and get-rich-quick syndrome in order to actualize their dreams in life.

On their parts, the Chairman of Odimma Orumba North who is also the Special Adviser and Chief of Staff to Orumba North Mayor, Mr Chukwuemeka Nwajoagu, and his Vice, Chief Festus Arokwe, while calling on school children to be focused in their academics, revealed that school children in the area stand a chance of winning scholarships from the group, as plans are on to provide them with scholarship opportunities.

Head teachers of the schools visited, including that of Primary School Ufuma, Mrs Constance Madichie, Mrs Benita Nnamezie; of Community Primary School Omogho, and their Central School Oko counterpart, Miss Faith Ezeilo, thanked the group for the kind gesture, and the learning materials provided to the pupils during the visit, and prayed God to reward them.
