Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, has said that the ministry will intensify the supervision of schools in the state to ensure that sports equipment given to them are put to proper use.
She stated this at a press conference to mark the commencement of the 2025 edition of Anambra Sports Solution Initiative (ANSSI) competition for primary and secondary schools in Awka, which is scheduled to kick off on the 19th March and end on 27th June 2025 at Awka Township Stadium.
Describing sports as critical for complete development of the child; reason sports equipment were distributed to the schools, Professor Chuma-Udeh added that there would be improved monitoring to ensure that the schools put them to good use.
