Nigeria’s President, Ahmed Tinubu has flagged off construction of the second Niger Bridge Road linking Delta and Anambra states, Phase 2B.
The President who was represented by the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo performed the flag off at Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area, the thirty-five kilometers road with seven flyovers and bridge and a width of thirty-five to forth-six meters, will connect Atani through Obosi, Nkpor and terminate in Ogbunike.
Governor Soludo stated that completion of the gigantic project will connect several communities, by-passing Onitsha and have a lot of impact on the life of Ndi Anambra, while such partnership between Anambra state government and the federal government for the development of the South east will lead to maximized benefits to the common man.
The Minister for Works, Engineer Dave Umahi who revealed that the project will benefit those travelling down from Lagos, said that the road will have cameras and solar powered streetlights, adding that thirty percent mobilization has been approved and released to the contractors.
