Giving has been described as the best tool for attracting God’s blessings and miracle.

The General Superintendent of Christ Deliverance Evangelical Mission, Pastor Aloysius Okonkwo, made this known in a sermon during a church service at the Amaezike Village, Mgbakwu, in Awka North local government area.

Pastor Okonkwo, who spoke on the topic “The Ministry of Giving,” said that the law of receiving is giving as it is a commandment from God.

The Pastor attributed some sufferings and ill conditions of some people to their inability to give, especially to the less privileged and for the propagation of God’s kingdom, advising Christians to always be obedient to the law of God, in order to enjoy the blessings that are attached to it.

Pastor Okonkwo, explained that it is only when one gives cheerfully, that he will be rewarded by God, urging Christians not to give with grudge, even as he stressed that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

He also emphasized the need for the wealthy to always give alms to the indigent, for a better society.

Rendition by the choir, prayers for the sick, the state, and the country at large, formed the highpoints of the service.
