Late Lady Edna Amaka Nwosu, Prestige Umuagbala, was born on September 10, 1966, to the Polygamous family of Late Nze Gabriel Nwankwo Muogbo and Late Mrs. Mgboli Muogbo, all of Mgbala Ifite, Oko.

She was the last of the four children of her mother, whom she lost at a very young age. She was brought up by her father, step mother, elder sister and maternal uncle. Edna had her early education at Primary School Aguluezechukwu and College Primary School, Oko from where she passed out in flying colours in 1978.
She passed the common entrance examination and was posted to Maria Regina Secondary School, Nnewi.  However, due to financial constraints, admission into a secondary school was jettisoned and another alternative sought. Edna secured admission into a commercial school in Nnewi.  Two years later, she joined her elder sister, Lady (Dr.) Julie A. Ezemoka, then an undergraduate and her husband, Sir Gabriel Ezemoka living in Port-Harcourt. 
Within one year of sojourn in Port-Harcourt, she was selected for a two-year teachers’ programme at Government Teachers’ College, Rumuokwuta in Rivers State. In her final year in the college, she was a dormitory prefect and doubled as sacristan for Anglican Students, graduating in 1984.
She had a stint as a trained teacher at Nkwo Nnewi Central School. However, she was offered admissions into the university of Port-Harcourt to read Fine and Applied Arts; College of Education, Nsugbe, to read Agricultural Education and then College of Education Awka, to read Religion and Social studies. She opted for College of Education Awka. In 1985, Edna wedded Allen Chiedozie Nwosu.
Due to lack of employment, she was engaged in farming. In 1990, she was employed at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze. She was admitted into the Women’s Guild and Mother’s Union during her short stay in Umunze. Lady Edna transferred her service to the Federal Polytechnic Oko in 1993 to join her husband, then a senior lecturer in the Polytechnic. While working in the Polytechnic, she studied for and obtained Bachelors degree in Education from UNIZIK and Masters Degree from I.M.S.U. in 2016.
Lady Edna devoted her time to church activities in the various churches she was privileged to worship. She served our Holy Trinity Church as a gifted master of ceremonies in many occasions. She was a pillar of support to the women group of the church and had served in various church committees juxtaposing positions as Vice-Chairlady, Secretary, Financial Secretary and Treasurer. She was powerful and outspoken member of the women group.
She was nominated and decorated with many awards and investitures in recognition of her dedicated services and immense contributions to church activities, including Lady Auxiliary by the Diocese of Aguata, “Ada Zion” by the Anglican Church of Resurrection, Amawbia and Ada Eji Eje mba by her home church, Holy Trinity Church Oko.
Lady Edna was a role model and caring.  She was a beacon of hope to many, especially her aged mother in-law, whom she cared for so much. She laid a very good Christian foundation for her children and others. Edna was a seasoned bridge builder and featured regularly in mending fences.
My beloved wife Edna’s painful ordeal started at about 11.30pm on that fateful Friday, with prolonged cough and vomiting under excruciating pains. She was rushed to the hospital where the doctors and workers did their best but alas, she was called to rest at the early hours of January 6, 2018. Her demise is a hard fact to realize. However, God holds the key of all unknown. Left to mourn her are Sir Dr. Allen Nwosu (husband), Nnamdi, Kanayochukwu and Chukwudum Nwosu (Sons); Mrs. Chogizili Ezeofor and Miss Uzoma Nwosu (daughters).
My dear Edna, I can only hope your reward is eternal happiness in Heaven. To live in the hearts of those you love is not to die. We will always cherish the memories we made together. Adieu my beloved wife, Adieu a caring mother in a million, till the resurrection morning.
