Over three hundred persons have benefitted from the free medical mission of the Anambra Irish Professionals Association, AIPA, at Orsumoghu, Ihiala Council Area.

During the medical exercise, patients were diagnosed and treatment of various diseases including high blood pressure, eye problems, diabetes among others.

The chairman of AIPA, which is an umbrella body for Anambra Professionals based in Ireland, Chief Paul Ozoh, said the think home initiative was aimed at supporting Governor Willie Obiano in boosting the health of ndi Anambra.

Chief Ozoh further expressed satisfaction with the turn out of the people and assured that they would continue to render such humanitarian services.

He advised Ndi Anambra to maintain positive and healthy living by giving proper attention to their health challenges.

 

In their separate speeches, a member AIPA Board of Trustees, Chief Chris Ofodile, and Very Reverend Father Hyacinth Nwakuna, who is also a member of the Association appreciated the Governor for his good work in the Health sector noting that the Association also has plan for youths as they hope to empower them through capacity building workshop coming up today and tomorrow.

 

On their part, the Deputy President General of Orsumoghu community, Chief Vincent Azumo, Reverend Father Simon Adigwe of Our Lady’s hospital Ihiala and some beneficiaries including Mrs Evelyn Ejike, Mrs Felicia Ohakanu, thanked the Association for their humanitarian services and prayed God to bless them so as to sustain the good work.

 

Among the professionals who gave medical services and counseling to the people were Psychiatrists, Ophthalmologists, General practitioners, Pharmacists and Nurses.
