With joy and humility, the Nwako family of Adagbe Orofia village, Abagana in Njikoka Council area welcomes members of the public to Abagana on the installation

of Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Nwakaego Nwako-Oraelosi (Oduenyi Abagana) as the first female International Patron of the prestigious Peoples Club of Nigeria International. To God be the glory for this honour.
Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Nwakaego Nwako-Oraelosi is the first of ten children born into the illustrious family of Chief Sir Cyril Nnaemeka Nwankwo Nwako (Nzeamalu), who is the Chief Executive Officer of many companies. These companies include CYNAKO International Press Ltd and NWAKO Gas Ltd. He is also a Papal Knight Commander with a Star of Pope Saint Sylvester. Dr. Florence’s mother is Lady Elizabeth Nwamaka Titi Nwako (Nee Onua), an educationist and auditor as well as a fourth degree lady knight of Saint Mulumba and the first female to undergo a third level education in Abagana.
Dr. Florence was educated at the then prestigious Sancta Maria Private School, Aba and later Cornelia Connelly Secondary School, Uyo, Immaculate Heart Girls’ Secondary, Aba and Queen’s School, Enugu. She proceeded to Ireland and read Medicine at the Ivy League/Russell Group University College, Dublin.
She is the Senior Partner in a group practice of four partners and three salaried doctors. Two of her partners are Nigerians whom she brought into the practice. She practices from two surgeries in East London. She has enabled couples have children and helped many Nigerians who travel to the UK. She has also greatly contributed to medical education, teaching Medical students at Barts and the London, Queen Mary’s University.
Chief Dr. Mrs. Nwakaego Florence Nwako-Oraelosi is passionate about her family, her country, her home town Abagana, all matters concerning Ndigbo and the Roman Catholic Church. She has aligned herself to the education of the girl- child in her town and has awarded scholarships to this purpose.
She hosted and served as a financial secretary of Abagana Welfare Union in London for ten years. She has also contributed to various worthy projects in her home town, including the building of the new Saint Francis Catholic Church, village hall, equipping schools and maternities. In recognition of these, she was conferred the title, Oduenyi Abagana.
Dr. Florence was the Harvest Chairperson of the 2017 Harvest of Divine Visitation of the Nigerian Catholic Chaplaincy, England and Wales. She is the current first Vice President of the Catholic Women’s Organization (CWO) of the Nigerian Catholic Chaplaincy, England and Wales. She has contributed to the education of priests and the religious. She is also a member of the Igbo Catholic Community of the Nigerian Catholic Chaplaincy, England and Wales. She is a member of the Consultative Council of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, UK and Ireland.
She has received awards from organizations such as: Anaedo Social Club of Nigeria International, UK; Igbo Catholic Community, London; Barts and the London, Queen Mary’s University and Nigerian Catholic Chaplaincy HPC
She joined Peoples Club of Nigeria, London Branch in July 2003 and was formally inducted on October 11, 2003. She is proactive in the club and served as Treasurer of the branch in the last executive. She stood aside to chair the harvest planning committee of the Nigerian Catholic Chaplaincy, England and Wales. She is an EXCO member of the branch and is the Vice Chairperson of the September MEGA Event Planning Committee.
Chief Dr (Mrs.) Florence Nwako-Oraelosi was brought up to believe that no door is closed to anyone; that doors could be opened with a lot of assiduity, persistence in performing one’s duties and pride and belief in what one is doing. She exudes interpersonal skills, both oral and written. In search of knowledge of other people of the world and culture, she has travelled extensively round the world to unusual destinations with her family.
Commendation must go to the Governing Council, the President of Peoples Club of Nigeria International and the Central Executive Council, for granting her this honour as Patron of the Club. Many thanks equally go to the National Officers and the entire Peoples Club of Nigeria International. Dr Florence and her family also express profound gratitude to the Almighty God for His steadfastness in their lives. They welcome everyone to Abagana and wish all God’s blessings and journey mercies to their respective destinations.
