Good diet and adequate exercise have been described as the basic rudiments of a healthy lifestyle.

A medical practitioner who is also the traditional ruler of Ifitedunu, Igwe Dr Emeka Ilouno, stated this on the ABS Television Program, “Good Morning Anambra in Awka.

Dr Ilouno who stated the importance of incorporating good eating habits, noted that inadequate dietary combination leads to several abdominal aliments.

He further identified balance diet, personal hygiene and good healthy lifestyle as panacea for longevity of life.

The Medical Expert also reemphasized the importance of timing in feeding and advised on low-calorie diet consumption as a good step towards dietary consciousness.

For prevention and risk reduction of unhealthy lifestyle, Dr Ilouno, underscored the need of maintaining healthy body weight, being physically active, eating a healthy diet with high intake of water, fruits and vegetable, reduce sugar and saturated fats intake, avoid tobacco use as well as cut down on alcohol intake.
