The traditional ruler of Umuawulu, Igwe Joel Egwuonwu has commissioned three strategic community development projects in his domain.

The projects which include construction of Oye -Holy Cross Secondary School Umuawulu, construction of a five hundred sitting capacity Civic Center with offices, and building of perimeter fencing at Union Secondary School Umuawulu.

The commissioning ceremony witnessed the presence of the cabinet chiefs, Umuawulu town union executives and some notable individuals in the community.

Commissioning the projects one after another, and Igwe Egwuonwu appreciated God for what he has been doing for the community, through his subjects that attracted the projects from the federal government.

Chief Christopher Ndubuisi championed construction of the Civic center, Chief Emmanuel Enwelu attracted the perimeter fencing at Union secondary school Umuawulu while Chief Emmanuel Ndubuisi attracted the construction of Oye – Holy cross road.

Igwe Egwuonwu thanked Governor Willie Obiano for providing the enabling environment for Ndi Anambra to come home and invest.

The President General of the community Chief Iyke Nkala noted that peace is necessary for communitis to break through, adding that the community has been enjoying a lot of fortunes since their traditional ruler assumed the throne.

Chief Nkala appreciated those who attracted federal government presence into the community and noted that together, they can build a more habitable environment for their children and generations to come.

In their separate speeches, Chiefs Ndubusi, Enwelu and Ndubuisi who thanked God for the successful completion of the projects, pledged to continue to attract more developments to the
community, praying God to grant long life to their monarch whom they say is a blessing to them.

The projects were sited under MDG 2017 constituency and zonal intervention project and supervised by the Federal Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development as well as the Federal Ministry of Works.
