The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, in Anambra State
says it will commence displaying the voters register in all polling units for claims and objections from Tuesday next week to Monday twelfth of this month.
The Commission said in line with the above, its staff will be at the three hundred and twenty-six Ward centres to entertain claims and objections to ensure the credibility of the register of voters by removing names of deceased registered persons, non-Nigerians,
registrant with still pictures, under-aged persons and persons with multiple registrations.
A release signed by the Head of Voter Education and Publicity of INEC in the State, Mr Leo Nkedife advised all those who have registered as voters to visit their designated polling units to cross check whether their names are on the register, correctly spelt or omitted to raise objections.
Meanwhile, distribution and collection of Permanent Voter Cards will be carried out within the period at the Ward Centres simultaneously.
INEC urged those who registered from 2010 to March 2018 to take advantage of the opportunity and collect their voter’s card.
