Members of the State House of Assembly have been commended for their mature and responsible approach in resolving their differences.
Speaking to Journalists in Awka, the National Chairman of Obiano Support Group, Chief Jude Emecheta said the Assembly as a family should at all times maintain unity of purpose and put the collective interest and future of the state above every other consideration to ensure that the state sustains high tempo of infrastructural and human capital development, to enable people of their constituencies continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Chief Emechata noted that the peace and stability in the state Legislature over the years and the harmonious working relationship and cooperation between the Executive and the lawmakers have facilitated the laudable development in all sectors of the state and made her a reference point in the country and beyond with national and international awards and recognitions.
He noted that Governor Obiano’s administration has repositioned the state for sustainable development, urging all stakeholders to join the drive to consolidate on achievements already on ground.
On the coming special Award for the Governor and two other philanthropists by the Catholic Church led by Francis Cardinal Arinze, Chief Emecheta said the honour is well deserved as Governor Obiano and his wife Dr Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano have initiated and sustained many interventions that promote social harmony and peaceful co-existence. Chief Emechata said that prevailing stability and secured atmosphere in the state would ensure hitch free Christmas celebration for Ndi Anambra.
Also speaking a youth Leader Comrade Chike Ndubueze urged youths to avoid violent political activities that could mar their future.
