Governor Willie Obiano has expressed deep anguish and consoled the family of Mr Sunday Ajayi, the former, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Sector Commander in the state who died in a ghastly car crash at the weekend.
Speaking at the Governor’s Lodge Amawbia, Governor Obiano described Mr Ajayi’s death as a heavy blow to Anambra State.
Describing the late FRSC state Sector Commander as a hard-working and a gentleman who gave his country his very best, Governor Obiano observed that he would be greatly missed by Anambra State but even more so by his family and friends who would have to cope with the void he left behind.
He stated that Mr Ajayi was passionate about his job and has left an indelible mark in Anambra State with his palpable enthusiasm and commitment to duty which made him lead his team from the front all the time.
The Governor said that late Mr Ajayi loved his job and the role of the FRSC in preserving lives and minimizing carnage on Nigerian roads, adding that his death in a road accident therefore reinforces the importance of committing more resources into the ideals of the Commission for which he lived and died.
Governor Obiano expressed his condolences to the family and prayed that God Almighty would give them the fortitude to bear the pain of his sudden exit.
