The Priest in Residence, Saint Joseph Catholic Parish Nnamdi Azikiwe University Temporary Site Awka, Reverend Father Basil Ucheonye has called on Christians to imbibe the virtues of love and kindness as
exemplified by Jesus Christ.
In a homily during a mass to mark the Christmas, Reverend Father Ucheonye, urged Christians to avoid acts capable of making Christmas lose its concept and meaning.
The Catholic priest, who said that Christmas is not a period for too much eating and drinking, urged the faithful to use the period in
building bridges of love and good neighbourliness.
He urged affluent members of the public to use the period of Christmas in touching the lives of the less privileged in the society.
Reverend Father Ucheonye used the opportunity to call on eligible voters to guard their voter’s card jealously, as the 2019 general election approaches.
He called for prayers to ensure free, fair and credible elections in 2019.
