It was a marriage between culture and religion as the traditional ruler of Ozubulu, Obi Nnamdi Oruche celebrated his second ofala festival admits pomp and pageantry.
It was also a period of stock taking as some illustrious sons and daughters as well as friends of
the community were honored with titles and awards of excellence.
The 2018 Ofala festival which was a showcase of the rich cultural heritage of Ozubulu people also gave room for salvation messages.
Leading in the salvation message, Pastor Osita Ifechukwu said that there are two kinds of peace that determines ones success or failure in life.
In his opening speech, after he was led round the arena by the Agbalanze and the Igwe in Council, the traditional ruler, Igwe Oruche, prayed God for peace and progress of the indigenes of the community.
In their welcome speeches, the President General of the town, Honorable Peter Uzokwe and Princess Adaigwe Oruche, said the journey towards placing Ozubulu in its rightful place in the comity of communities in Anambra state has just begun.
Some of the indigenes recognized during the event, including the Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue and a former Local Government Chairman of Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Sir Jude Mbaegbu, thanked the community for choosing them and promised to put in their best in the service of God and humanity.
Different groups and families took turns to entertain the people and pay homage to the traditional ruler.
