The Territorial Envoy, Nigeria Territory of the Salvation Army church Dr Levi Monanu has tasked Ndi Anambra who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards to do so in their own interest and that of the country.
Dr Monanu was speaking in Awka while reacting over lack of interest demonstrated by some Nigerians towards the nation’s political process , pointing out that apathy should be avoided if good leaders will be elected to steer the wheels of leadership after the general elections.
He said that ones vote is his right and it can only be valid with voters card, urging all involved to endeavour to get their PVCs as the election fast approaches.
Dr Monanu also advised the INEC staff assigned to the distribution exercise, to be at their posts on time, so as to attend to people, and cautioned against alleged sharp practices by the officials whom were alleged to be collecting money from individuals before giving them their PVCs.
He called on politicians to embark on issue based campaigns as according to him , engaging in campaign of calumny will heat up the polity.
