The Management and Staff of Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe, have ushered in the 2019 academic year with an interdenominational church service.

During the prayer which has its theme as “A new Dawn” the Provost of the college, Dr. Ifeyinwa Osegbo read the first lesson, while other academic and non academic staff of the College , Clergies, Reverend Sisters and Students converged to thank God for His mercies last year and grace
for 2019.

In her speech the Provost of the college, Dr. Osegbo called for serious academic work among students to achieve excellence, discipline, entrepreneurial development, better understanding of Information Communication Technology among others.

She commended Governor Willie Obiano for fulfilling his promises to the Institution noting that he has started the construction of the college internal roads calling on lecturers to be more dedicated to their work, maintain discipline and produce results on time to take the College to an enviable height.

Dr. Osegbo charged students to shun all forms of social vices capable of marring their future.

Earlier in a homily, the college Catholic Chaplain, Reverend Father Dr. Benjamin Udeh called for all hands to be on deck in supporting the management to achieve the mission and vision of the college and frowned on the ugly behavior of some lecturers who subject students to hardship advising them to live a legacy that will prepare the students for the future.

Reverend Father Dr. Udeh urged the College authority to check indecent dressing among students.

Series of prayers were offered for the College, State and nation at large anchored by the Anglican Chaplain, Venerable Charles Chukwura while special rendition from the music department and thanksgiving added glamour to the event.
