The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and order relevant bodies have been urged to intensify sensitization on voter education to check the high number of void votes during elections.

A Grand Patron of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Chief Anthony Enukeme who made the call in an interview with the ABS at his country home Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area described void votes as a major problem during elections.

He called on INEC and National Orientation Agency to educate the public on the need for proper thumb printing during elections in order to reduce the number of unacceptable ballots during elections.

Chief Enukeme who is also the traditional Prime Minister of Neni, charged eligible voters in the State to visit their various wards and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards to enable them participate actively during the forthcoming elections.

He reminded the electorate of the need to guard their voter cards jealously warning them against selling and buying of votes.
