President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, pending the completion of his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

President Buhari announced the suspension at the Presidential Villa, Abuja yesterday.

He said the suspension was as a result of the order of the Code of Conduct Tribunal directing him to suspend Justice Onnoghen, pending the completion of his trial.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has signed an Executive Order 007 in Abuja. The order known as Road Infrastructure Development and Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme, permits private companies to fund the contraction of major roads in the country, while they are repaid in form of tax credit.
