The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim, has called on youths to channel their energy to service of God and bear witness for him.

Bishop Ibezim stated this in a sermon at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith, Awka, during a Eucharistic Service for the inauguration of Anglican Boy’s Fellowship for Cathedral Deanery, Mgbakwu, Ugwuoba and Oba Ofemili Archdeaconries.

The service was to revive the activities of the Boy’s Fellowship as part of measures to discourage them from iniquities, thuggery and other ills.

The Bishop, who drew his sermon from the life of biblical Joseph, said they should make him their role model, emulate his life style, avoid youthful lust and aim at righteousness.

He charged them to be regular to church activities, be punctual to their programs, obey their parents, church leaders and those in authorities so as to be honored by God.

Bishop Ibezim further charged the boys to be honest, trust worthy, hardworking and resourceful so as not be used for thuggery and should not associate themselves with things that will mar their future including cultism and charged them as soldiers of Christ, to go to their various towns and propagate Christ as well win souls for him.
