The state government has reminded all especially the leadership and people of Alor community of an earlier circular suspending all Chieftaincy and town Union Elections in the State.
In a release jointly signed by Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Honourable Greg Obi and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Barrister Veraqueen Okonkwo said it has come to the notice of the government that some people in Alor Town, Idemili South Local Government Area have concluded arrangement to flout the directive and conduct Town Union executive elections.
While referencing the circular suspending all Chieftaincy and Town Union Elections in Anambra State, the released warned them to please, take note that any attempt to flout the directive of the State Government will be dealt with decisively in order to maintain law, order and peace.
