The Nkwo-Ikem Nando Road Project is nearing completion.
Governor Willie Obiano paid an unscheduled inspection to the site where he was assured of completion of the project in one month’s time.
The road was awarded by the present government in two thousand and sixteen.
On arrival, asphalting was ongoing on the four point two kilometers road, while the drainage system on the long stretch was hundred percent complete.
Governor Obiano emphasized that the Nando has the largest number of road construction in the area under the present administration, because it is at the Center of many agrarian communities of the State.
The who promised the people that road infrastructures including street lights and road markings will be used on the road when completed, asked them to help him fulfill his mandate of rounded development, by supporting all APGA candidates in the forthcoming General elections.
The Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor who told the people that additional four road designs have been drawn for Nando, expressing optimism that the the roads will be completely executed with their support to the government of the day.
The contractor handling the project who is the Traditional Ruler of Umueri, Igwe Sir Bennett Emeka revealed that four kilometers of the road has been completely asphalted, promising that the remains two kilometers will be completed in a months time.
Chief Chinedu Obidigwe, Chief Obinna Emenaka who was represented by his father and a crowd of community members were filled with excitement as they applauded the Governor’s gesture to them, assuring of one hundred percent victory for APGA.
