The State Director of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mr Charles Nwoji has advised eligible voters of Anambra extraction, to come out en-mass today to cast their votes for candidates of their choice during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Speaking at Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area, Mr Nwoji maintained that the agency has mapped out series of programmes for community orientation and mobilization officers in the twenty-one local government areas of the State aimed at making the people to have faith in the Nation’s electoral processes.
Mr Nwoji a lawyer who expressed optimism that the elections will go on peacefully to the satisfaction of the people also advised the electorate and other stakeholders to adopt the right attitude at the polls, and ensure that the nation achieves its dream of credible elections’ tomorrow.
While calling for sustained civic and political education by statutory bodies for the benefit of the citizenry, Mr Nwoji described invalid votes as counterproductive during elections.
He however, called on the traditional rulers and religious leaders to mobilize their subjects to participate actively in the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections urging parents to prevail on their children and wards to shun violence before, during and after elections.
