The General Manager, Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency, CSDA Mr. Chudi Muojekwu has commended Governor Willie Obiano for availing the state, the opportunity to benefit from Community and Social Development Project, CSDP.
While disclosing that CSDP came into Nigeria since 2004, Mr. Muojekwo regretted that previous administration could not attract the intervention despite that fact that it was specifically designed for core poor communities.
Mr. Muojekwu gave the commendation during a two- day training for Community Project Management Committee aimed at the secured approval from the World Bank to start funding ten communities in the first five core poor council areas of the state.
He appealed to the communities as the first beneficiaries to fast tract the implementation of their projects as contained in the World Bank approved Community Development Plans.
The Operations Manager, Anambra state CSDA, Mrs. Uche Nwaizugbo warned that every Community Development Plan, Community Response Plan and Vulnerable Group Plan must contain minimum of a set of two micro projects that are not above ten million naira each.
In a vote of thanks, one of the participants, Chief Obiora Nnatuanya who thanked CSDA management and staff for their doggedness in seeing that Anambra state is developed while promising judicious use of the money noted their desire to apply for more.
