The state electorate have been urged to support Governor Willie Obiano to consolidate on the remarkable achievements of his administration by voting for APGA candidates on Saturday’s State House of Assembly elections.

Speaking to journalists in Awka, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Mr. Ostar Christopher said an APGA dominated state legislature would ensure smooth and effective implementation of Government policies and programmes without unnecessary distractions, delays and interferences.

Mr. Christopher explained that Governor Obiano’s administration already instituted development template and framework that facilitated efficient delivery of democracy dividends across the state including effective security apparatus, Agriculture, physical infrastructure, human capital development and many others which should not be threatened by aggressive House of Assembly.

He urged politicians to play according to the rules to avoid over heating the polity and threatening the security of the state and commended the youths for their maturity and sense of responsibility in the last election, urging them to avoid being used by politicians to destabilize the system.

Mr. Christopher asked INEC to ensure early arrival and adequate distribution of electoral materials so that no eligible voter would be disenfranchised as well as put measures in place for prompt response to emergencies including replacements of mal functioning equipment.

In his reaction, a community leader, Mr. Godwin Ezediokpu, noted that voting APGA candidates would enable the Governor to sustain tempo of developments in various communities.
