The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, had a landslide victory in last Saturday’s House of Assembly polls in Anambra State, winning twenty four out of the thirty state constituencies.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, won in the remaining six constituencies. According to a release from the office of the Head of Voter Education, INEC state headquarters, Awka, Mr Leo Nkedife, PDP secured only Anaocha One in the whole of Anambra Central, Ogbaru One and Two, and Onitsha North One, in Anambra North, as well as Ekwusigo, and Nnewi South Two, in Anambra South senatorial zone.
Meanwhile, some of the law makers who were re elected include Hon Obinna Emenaka of Anambra East, Hon Lawrence Ezeudu of Dunukofia, Hon Beverley Nkemdiche of Onitsha South One constituency, and Hon Edward Ibuzo of Onitsha North Two constituency.
Some second time lawmakers also include Hon Uchenna Okafor of Ayamelum constituency, Hon Paschal Agbodike of Ihiala Two and Hon Chuka Ezenwunne of Idemili South constituency.
