Ahead of the defense of the 2019 Appropriation Bill of Earsyteight point eight three trillion naira presented before the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari, the Senate has warned the Ministers and heads of Parastatals against traveling outside the country, to avoid jettisoning the process.

The Senate yesterday resumed debate on the general principles of A Bill for an Act to authorize the issue from the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Federation which was read the Second Time and referred to Senator Danjuma Goje.

The Committee on Appropriations was asked to complete work on the document in two weeks, with a strong warning to go ahead and pass the budget where any minister refuses to appear before the Senate for budget defence.

Speaking after the Appropriation bill scaled second reading, the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki thanked the law makers who contributed to the debate on the principles of the 2019 Appropriation
Bill.

He said there is still a lot of work that needs to be done concerning the issue of the actual capital expenditure.
