The member representing Onitsha South two Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche has expressed her commitment to sponsoring motions against unwholesome treatment meted to windows in the society.

Mrs. Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche disclosed this in Awka while speaking to journalists after receiving her Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Honourable Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche who is the only female legislator in the coming seventh Assembly, expressed her commitment to improving the welfare of women in the state, particularly widows through skill acquisition programmes, bills and motion that will place them in the scheme of things.

She also assured that she would partner the Executive Arm of Government in youth empowerment to make them productive.

On his part, the member representing Njikoka Two Constituency, Dr. Pete Ibida who commended his constituents for returning him to the House based on his antecedents and pedigree added that he would continue to sponsor motions and bills that will impact on them positively and improve the economy of Anambra State.

Meanwhile, the Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Pilgrimage has said that it will invite the Chairman, Anambra Christian Pilgrims Board, Professor Steve Ibenta to appear before the State House of to clarify issues bordering on 2017 and 2018 pilgrimage.
