Disbursement of fund to communities that have completed their projects under the first and second phase of the twenty million naira community choose your project initiative, for the commencement of the third phase will soon commence.
Governor Willie Obiano disclosed this at Amawbia in Awka South Local Government Area, during the inauguration of an Ultra Modern Event Center and the commencement of Eziokpalaigwe festival.
Governor Obiano who was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke maintained that the twenty million naira community choose your project initiative is aimed at ensuring simultaneous development across the State.
He frowned at communities who are still battling with first and second phases of the project, as according to him the completion of the two previous ones will qualify them for the third round.
The Governor commended the people of Amawbia for their support to his administration, especially in the just concluded House of Assembly election, assuring them of more democracy dividends.
Earlier in his speech, the President-General of the town, Chief Chris Nwoye who appreciated the Obiano administration for its service to the people, explained that the Amawbia Ultra modern event center will serve as a monument for the Obiano administration after its tenure.
In a remark, the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Sir. Willie Nwokoye who is an indigene of Amawbia expressed the hope that the project when completed will strengthen the bond of peace that exists among the people of the community.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Uche Nworah, was among those that graced the occasion.
