The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim has called on mothers to always inculcate moral values in their children.

Bishop Ibezim stated this in a sermon at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith Awka to mark this years mothers Sunday.

He said that some women have abandoned their primary roles and assignments in their quest for material things stating that every woman should maintain a Godly home.

Right Reverend Ibezim opined that they should look inwards and correct any error that can lead to shattered home, calling on husbands to join hands with their wives in parenting their children.

The state Attorney General and Commissioner for justice, Dr Mrs. Uju Nwogu said mothers are special in the history of salvation and development of the society, urging women to live exemplary life, avoid corruption and ensure they are closer to their children and wards so as to monitor all their activities to encourage them to live positive life.

Also Speaking, the President, Mothers Union and Girls Guild, Diocese of Awka, Mrs. Martha Ibezim, thanked God for motherhood which she said is a call to service, reminding mothers that in every situation of life, they should trust and depend on God.
