The Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has warned Nigerian youths to desist from getting involved in economic and financial crimes, as this will jeopardize their future.

He gave the warning through the Head, EFCC Kaduna Zonal Office, Mailafia Yakubu, during a lecture held at the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Orientation Camp, Kaduna.

He urged them to be vigilant in carrying out their primary duties and not to allow anyone use them to commit any economic or financial crime, as many like them have fallen victims.

According to him, once caught, the EFCC will profile the person and put his or her information on the data base which will go viral such that once a name is typed, the person’s crime will appear.

He further encouraged them to be foot soldiers against corruption, calling on them to stand with the EFCC to fight corruption because the fight is for the downtrodden and the masses and also for the progress of the nation.
