The Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC) has commenced the planned upgrade of its 7.5MVA Agu-Awka Injection Substation to 15MVA.
A statement signed by the Head of Communication of the Company Mr Emeka Ezeh said the exercise which commenced today is designed to match the rapid increase in load demand by customers, as well as significantly improve power supply to them and will last for three days.
The statement explained that as a result of this development, electricity customers in Agu-Awka GRA, Ifite Awka, UniZik, parts of Nkwele Awka, Amenyi Awka, CBN, Juhel, Millennium Industry and Nodu Okpuno, who are served by the substation will be out of supply during the period of the upgrade.
It regreted the inconveniences this exercise will cause their customers and assure them that improved supply will be restored once the project is completed, assuring that EEDC is ever committed to the delivery of improved services to her customers.
