The Anambra  State Government, has noted with dissatisfaction that the reports in a section of the media about the scope and dimension of the crisis in Anam were exaggerated.

 In the same statement in Awka  the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba, regretted that some of  the media outfits that reported the Anam crisis failed to  obtain facts and figures on what transpired, when it was clear that the Government of Anambra State operates an open door policy.

It noted that it was irregular that sensitive and grave matter as the security situation in the state were reported without obtaining government position, and  calls on the media at all times be alive to their social responsibility, especially in these trying times.

The statement said that  Anambra State Government while thanking all the people and groups that contributed to the successful resolution of the crisis last week in Anam between herdsmen and crop farmers, including the Traditional Rulers in the Anam Community, the Presidents General of Town Unions, the security agencies and Ndi Anambra at home and abroad, assured of the capacity of the state government to bring the culprits to book and make them feel the full weight of the law.
