Governor Willie Obiano in company of some top Government officials joined others at Saint Augustine’s Catholic Church Umuoba Anam to console Barrister Chuks Okeke on the death of his wife, Mrs. Ngozi Chibugu Chuks -Okeke.
Late Mrs. Ngozi Chuks Okeke aged, fifty five was known for her humanitarian services, a philanthropist and virtuous Christian woman and socialist among others.
She left her husband, children, relations, in-laws, among who are the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Protocol, Mrs. Ngozi-Ossy Agbata.
In a homily during the burial mass, a Priest from Saint Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, Anthony Village Lagos, Reverend Father Akachukwu Ilozue stated that death which according to him, transforms one to meet his maker, keeps knocking and no-one knows the time and advised all to seek the face of God in order not to be found wanting on the last day.
Reverend Father Ilozue noted that the deceased was so kind, generous, humanitarian and did the work of God as if she was a Priest, calling on the family not to mourn but to thank God for her life.
While consoling the Okeke Ugbagu family for the great lost, Governor Obiano represented by the Commissioner for Works, Engineer. Marcel Ifejiofor observed that there is nothing more painful than the death of a loved one.
Governor Obiano further described late Mrs. Ngozi Chuks-Okeke as a devoted Christian whose love for God is unequal.
Some friends of the family including Mr. Marcel Manafa and Engr. Emeka Okoye who went down memory lane on their encounter with the deceased while alive, prayed God for the peaceful repose of her soul.
While thanking God for a successful burial, Mr. Odii Okeke on-behalf of the family said they have lost a very dear one lamenting that it will be hard to fill the vacuum her death created.
