The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim has called on Christians to embark on evangelism to win more souls for Christ. 


Bishop Ibezim made the call during his pastoral visit to   Saint Gorges Anglican church Akwaeze, Anaocha council area to commemorate the Palm Sunday. He described Palm Sunday as a moment of aggressive evangelism especially in rural areas to honor Jesus as spiritual leader and a Messiah who brought peace and liberation to the world. 


The Anglican Bishop emphasized that God is spiritually powerful, noting that the Diocese preceded the event with prayer convention in Awka, noting that Palm Sunday starts the Holy week. 


He further affirmed the good plans of God for Akwaeze people and prayed God to empower them with spiritual powers.


The Bishop was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Martha Ibezim, his Legal Secretary, Barrister Uzoh and the traditional ruler of Akwaeze, represented by Onowu of Akwaeze, Chief Felix Anunobi.
