Oil palm business is one that comes with huge gains, though it really requires hard work.

Of all the labour associated with palm oil processing, separating the kernels from the pulp before it is pressed for oil, appears the most tasking.

But, ABS Blessing Ijedibia, just stumbled on a new oil processing device that also separates the kernel from pulp, with ease .

A visit to the oil mill, reveals that women, youths and even children are busily engaged in one process or the other. They were seen either boiling or extracting the oil.

The machine grind the boiled palm fruits and separate the kernel from the pulp, with ease and there after the oil extraction machine will press the pulp and extract the oil .

Commenting on the machine, the owner of the mill, Mrs Oluchi Atamuo said out of inspiration she consulted a welder who constructed the machine for her.

She said the new process of oil extraction is easy as the machine is perfect in doing most of the work.

Mrs Atamuo who said her mill produces over Forty jericans of 25 liters of palm oil each day , also said she charges eight hundred naira to process one drum of palm fruits brought to her mill.

Some of the women that engaged in oil, including Mrs Rose Onyima and Mrs Nwanneka said they are happy for the invention of the new machine which they say makes the job easy.
