A valedictory House session was held recently at the State Legislature in honour of the deceased former member for Nnewi South One Constituency, Chief Joseph Uba.
It was à moment of sober reflection as former and current members of the House adorned in black attire, paid their last respect to the deceased.
In her tribute to the late former Lawmaker, the Speaker, Barrister Rita Maduagwu described Chief Uba as à grassroot politician who served his constituents effectively.
Barrister Maduagwu urged the Uba family to emulate the sterling qualities of the late Lawmaker and to continue to live in peace.
The Speaker maintained that the late Chief Uba’s death has created a vacuum in the political activities in Nnewi South Local Government.
Also in his tribute, the member representing Nnewi South One Constituency, Barrister Kingsley Iruba described the late Chief Uba as a self made man who was full of virgour and committed to duty.
In their separate tributes to the deceased, the former speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Mike Balonwu and former members of the House, Honourable Okonkwo Okom and Dr Chuba Oranusi eulogized the sterling qualities of the deceased.
