The Nigeria Police Football Club and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Football Club, have qualified for the finals of the Security Challenge Cup, after defeating their respective opponents, the Federal Road Safety Corps, and Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, in the semifinal of the game.

The Nigeria Police battled the game at the Paul University Awka with the FRSC, while the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and NIS had their encounter at the Government Technical College Awka, where a good number of men of the agencies were on hand to cheer up their various team.

The Nigeria Police Football Club qualified for the final match after defeating their opponent, the FRSC Football Club by three goals to nothing, while Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps won the Nigeria Immigration Service in a penalty shootout, after both teams played, one -one, draw in the first and second legs of the game.

Speaking shortly after the game, the coaches of the winning teams, Mr. Daniel Wires of the Police FC, and Mr. Ejikeeme Okeke of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, FC, thanked God for their victories, adding that they would train and equip their players with more technicalities for the final match.

On his part, the Team Manager of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr. Dennis Reuben while expressing the hope that his team will win the final game, called on the officials of the
tournament to ensure professionalism and fairness throughout the game.

The final of the tournament slated for Saturday this week looks tough as both teams have high expectations.
