Anambra State House of Assembly was yesterday thrown into mourning mood as it held a valedictory session in honour of a deceased former member, Chief Frank Igboka.

Chief Igboka who was a member of the third Assembly, represented Njikoka Two Constituency from 2003-2007.

In her tribute, the Speaker, Mrs. Rita Maduagwu described the late Igboka as a distinguished parliamentarian who made positive impact on the lives of his constituents through various constituency projects he executed.

While noting that his community service as the President General, Nimo Town Union was glorious and eventful, Barrister Maduagwu enjoined his family to be consoled in the fact that their late father lived a fulfilled life and was a source of inspiration to many.

In his tribute, the member representing Njikoka Two Constituency, Dr. Pete Ibida described late Igboka as a brave man who sacrificed his life for the benefit of his people.

The Lawmaker applauded Governor Willie Obiano for taking urgent steps that enabled the Anambra State Police Command arrest the killers of the late Igboka.

On his part, the member representing Awka South One Constituency, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor urged youths in Anambra State who indulge in cultism to give up any form of criminality in the interest of the state.

In their separate tributes, the member representing Ihiala One Constituency, Honourable Chidi Udemmadu and his Anambra East counterpart, Chief Obinna Emeneka commiserated with the family of the late lawmaker and enjoined Christians to live a legacy for which they will be remembered for after their life on earth.

The former Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Mike Balonwu and a former member of the third Assembly, Barrister Bona Orakwe also eulogized the sterling qualities of the deceased.
