State government says it will continue to promote technical education in the Country.

Speaking at the Unveiling of St John Innovation Institute of Management and Technology (JIIMATECH), Neni, Governor Willie Obiano stressed that technical education is very important in education curriculum of the state.

The event also doubles as Pastoral visit by the Catholic Bishop of Awka, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor.

The governor charged youths to acquire vocational training and technical skills, stressing that over 2000 students are being trained in the state without tuition fee.

While urging youths to stay clear of cultism, drug trafficking, crime and social vices that influence their lives, Governor Obiano spoke of the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme which said was initiated as a robust plan to offer quality medical services to the people at a reduced cost.

The Governor who described the plan as a visionary policy tailored towards transforming the Health sector in the State, urged ndi Anambra to take advantage of the scheme

Earlier in a homily, Bishop Ezeokafor charged christians to live a truthful life and shun criticism and life of discrimination.

The Catholic Prelate charged members of Christian Association of Nigeria to always work together as one in order to achieve a great goal in moving the nation to great height.

Bishop Ezeokafor who spoke on burning issues in the Nation’s scheme of things including radio license to the Cattle herders, and the latest APGA National Convention, charged the Governor and party executives to carry everybody along and work together with other aggrieved party members.

A certificate was presentated to the wife of the Governor for her contributions toward the growth of the institute,
