Anambra state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has restated the state
government’s commitment to completing the ongoing construction of  the
five point-seven kilometer Shanahan Catholic University internal
roads.

The University is an upcoming University, located within Trans Nkisi
Estate, Phase Two, Three-Three Nkwelle-Ezunaka.

Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana was there and   reports.

The Governor was accompanied to the site by the Chief of Staff, Chief Primus Odili, Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor, Traditional Rulers, among others.


Taking a tour of the internal roads, Governor Obiano, who inspected
gully erosion ravaging a portion of the road, directed the Commissioner for Works to capture it as a different contract to allow the contractor handling the project to concentrate on the initial
contract.

He expressed optimism that the roads will be completed to enable the University take off in earnest. 

The Commissioner for Works, Engineer Ifejiofor explained that the contract covers from the entrance, stretching through other internal roads and called for corporation from all and sundry to deliver the work on schedule.

The Contractor handling the project, Mr. Breco, who confirmed that they don’t have difficulty executing the contract, promised to deliver on schedule and according to specification.

The Onitsha Archdiocesan Chancellor, Very Reverend Father Prudentus
Aro, among other priests came out to receive the Governor’s entourage
and appreciated him for embarking on the project.
