Kids-For-Christ International School Nnokwa, has emerged the winner of
the 2019 Primary school debate organized by Nnokwa Citizens Forum, a
Face-book group for youths of the community.

This year’s debate which is the fifth in its series took place at Idemili Primary School, Nnokwa, in Idemili South Local Government Area, and was sponsored by the 2019 Beauty Queen of the Nnokwa
Citizens Forum, Miss Blessing Akachukwu.

The programme had seven primary schools in the town participating, and
the topic was, “The Internet has done more harm than good to pupils in
the society.

It was witnessed by some stakeholders in the education sector.

Speaking while presenting the cup to the winners of the competition,
Miss Blessing Akachukwu, said the idea is to prepare the pupils for future competion in  public speech making and widening of their horizon.

She appreciated the forum for the opportunity given to her and assured
of touching more lives using her position.

Mrs Francisca Ekwonu, who spoke on behalf of the team of Supervisors
from Onitsha Archdiocesan Education Commission, commended the
conveners of the programme and expressed satisfaction with the performance of the pupils, charging them to sustain the tempo.

In an address, the Chairperson, Nnokwa Citizens Forum Education Sub-committee, who is also the Executive Secretary, of the Forum, Mrs Omelebele Ukpaka-Chima, highlighted other activities of Nnokwa Citizen’s Forum targeted at improving humanity and achieving sustainable peace, unity and development of the town.

Others who spoke at the event including the President, National Union
of Nnokwa Students and the Secretary of the Education Sub-committee
Comrade Ejike Nzegwu and the Nnokwa ward APGA Chairman, Mr Okey
Chibueze, commended the pupils for active participation.


They encouraged the teachers to continue building the capacity of the
pupils as there is room for more improvement. 

The school debate  has Central school Nnokwa and Saint Stephen’s Primary school, as the First and second runners up
respectively.
