Cordinator of National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, in the twenty one local government Council areas in Anambra State are proposing strategic programs to reduce cultism and other social vices in the state.

They disclosed their plans when they paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Uche Nworah at the Station’s Cooperate Headquarter in
Awka.

The youths led by the Idemili North Coordinator, Mr Chibunna Echegwo
said they are planning a program, by September this year to meaningfully engage youths  including talent hunt,  tagged “how to stop job abuse”, among others.

Receiving the group, Chief Nworah who pledged support from the ABS, observed  that despite  challenges in the country , the older generation is encouraged  by  the progressive activities of young persons.

He called on youths to engage themselves meaningfully in agriculture and other empowerment programs provided by Governor Willie Obiano’s administration.

Chief Nworah  while commending   their  initiative,  urged them to focus their attention on issues and collective welfare of   Anambra youths , urging them
to access soft loans from Anambra Small Business Agency to create lucrative ventures and become agents of the desired change in the society and  focusing on  things that will add value.   

Earlier,  the leader of the delegation, Mr Echegwo said that their programs are targeted at youths and solicited 
 support of the establishment  to  disseminate  their message to more
youths.   

In  his remarks the Coordinator of the Council in Ihiala and his Deputy, Mr Izuchukwu Mbachuazia and Miss Obiageli Ewelobi commended  the ABS for its outstanding performance ,and promised to review their program to effect the corrections given to them.
