The one point-four kilometer access road from Owerri Road to
Electrical Dealers International Market, Obosi to Akora Obosi
estimated at thirty million Naira for its  re-construction will be
ready within two weeks.

The Chairman, Electrical Dealers Association, Obosi, Mr Peter Obi
disclosed this at the inauguration of the re-construction work on the
project within the Market premises.

Performing the function, Mr Obi, in company of the Executive Officers,
past Chairmen of the Market, Patrons, Trustees and other traders in
the market expressed happiness with the quality of work being done by
the contractor handling the project.

 While thanking Governor Willie Obiano for the ten million Naira grant
to the market for development, which he said was used for building
their Secretariat housing their multi-purpose Hall and offices with
toilet facilities, Mr Obi disclosed that the union under his watch
since 2016 has built a security house, motor park and sunk a bore hole
among others.

The Managing Director of the Construction firm handling the project,
Mr Morgan Offordum said he has been adequately mobilized to commence
work and promised to deliver the project within two weeks.

In his reaction,  the Vice Chairman of the Union, Comrade Chukwuma Agwasinwa,
who is also the chairman Works committee expressed joy with the vision
of their Chairman in reconstructing the access road to the Market,
pointing out that the project will enhance the general welfare of both
the traders and their customers.

The Secretary-General of the Union, Mr Eleazar Orjiakor, and the
Secretary Board of Trustees, Sir Anthony Adibe praised the prudent
management of the finances of the Union.

Some of the past Chairmen of the Market, including Chiefs Innocent
Muojekwu, Ogonogo Ibeagwa, Benjamin Orji and a Trustee, Chief Sunday
Okonkwo said Mr  Obi has brought unprecedented development to the
Market and urged him to maintain the relative peace being experienced
in the Market.
