The remains of a Former Director of Finance in ABS, Lady Joe Obiamaka Onyiorah, nee Uba, will be laid to rest today at her husband’s compound, Iruowelle Umudunu Agbaja, Abatete.
Late Obiamaka Onyiorah, aged fifty-two, died on twenty fifth April, 2019 after a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband, children and an aged mother, among numerous other relations.
According to a burial programme signed on behalf of the family by Sir Cornelius Onyiorah, she will be interred in her compound today , after a ten o’ clock requiem mass at Saint Dominic’s Catholic Church, Agbaja Abatete, Idemili North Local Government Area.
In another development, the death has occurred of an educationist and community leader in Orofia-Ogbu Abatete, Chief Alex Chukwurah Amuzie, popularly known as Ezekwesili.
Late Chief Alex Amuzie, during his life time, mentored a lot of students both as secondary school teacher and as a one-time Chairman of Senior Non Academic Staff Union of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
According to a tribute signed by Reverend Emeka Abone, President and Mr Gab Okpalaeze, Secretary General of Community Secondary School, Nnokwa Old Students Association, late Alex Amuzie was a thorough bred Literature in English teacher and a disciplinarian of the first order, during their days in secondary school.
A requiem mass will hold in his honour at Most Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Ogbu Abatete, tomorrow, before his interment in his compound.
Late Chief Alex Amuzie, aged sixty-six, died on twenty third of May, 2019.
